The ceremony continued with the recitation of Takhtim by the students and the recitation of Doa Khatam by Mohd Amiruddin bin Masruni, a Khatam Al-Quran participant. The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour followed by the recitation of Al-Quran verses by the Khatam Al-Quran participants. Teachers and staff members as well as parents and guardians were also present. He was welcomed by the school’s Principal Hajah Noramalina binti Haji Md Ali. Mosque Affairs Officer at the Belait District Mosque Affairs Office, Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Aminorddin bin Haji Md Yussof, was the guest of honour. Organised as part of an annual project by the Co-curriculum Division of the Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the ceremony was held to ensure that the school’s Year 6 students can recite Al-Quran verses before they embark on their next education journey. Belait Arabic School held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for 25 of its Year 6 students at the school’s surau on Thursday.
